Hotel Astoria Barcelona
Museum Opisso Audioguide
The Opisso Museum, located inside the Hotel Astoria in Barcelona, is a cultural gem that houses the most extensive collection of works by Ricard Opisso (1880–1966), a renowned cartoonist and chronicler of Barcelona society in the first half of the 20th century. With more than 400 pieces including drawings, illustrations, oils, watercolors and posters, the exhibition offers a unique vision of everyday life, graphic humor and political satire of the time.
This collection is part of the private collection of the Clos Archaeological Foundation, promoted by Jordi Clos, president of Derby Hotels Collection. Clos, a passionate collector since the age of 17, has gathered this artistic heritage for decades, complemented by documents donated by the artist's granddaughter, Mariàngeles Opisso.
